Blondes, Airtouch and Balayage Aftercare

Benefits

  • Lived-in blonding and balayage are designed to feel effortless, dimensional, and softly blended—bright where you want it, seamless where you don’t. With the right aftercare, your blonde stays creamy, glossy, and expensive-looking, while the grow-out remains soft and intentional.

Service Duration

3–6+ hours (depending on length, density, and brightness)

Recommended Maintenance Schedule

  • Gloss / Toner Refresh: every 6–8 weeks
  • Lived-In Blonding Refresh / Balayage Top-Up: every 12–20 weeks
  • Haircut / Shape Refresh: every 6–10 weeks

Home Care Essentials

  • Bond Builder: Lightened hair needs support—use a bond-building treatment to maintain strength, softness, and shine.
  • Serums + Leave-In Treatments: Add a lightweight serum or leave-in treatment through mid-lengths and ends to boost shine, softness, and frizz control, and to protect the blonde from dryness.
  • Blonde-Safe Shampoo + Conditioner: Choose colour-safe, salon-grade formulas and limit shampoo days to reduce dryness and fading.
  • Toning Shampoo (only if needed): Use purple/blue shampoo sparingly to control warmth without over-toning or drying out the hair.
  • Water Temperature: Wash with cool to lukewarm water to preserve tone and shine.
  • Weekly Mask: A weekly moisture mask keeps the blonde looking smooth, luminous, and healthy through the ends.
  • Heat Protectant: Always protect before blow-drying or styling—heat can dull tone and contribute to breakage.

Good to Know

  • Hard water can cause brassiness: Mineral build-up can shift blonde warm and make it look dull—consider a shower filter if your water runs hard.
  • Sun + chlorine fade and warm blonde: UV and pool water can pull warmth and dry out lightened hair—use UV protection and rinse before/after swimming.
  • Less heat = longer-lasting blonde: Keep hot tools lower and lean into soft styling to maintain condition and tone.

Grey Blending Aftercare

Benefits

Grey blending is designed to create a soft, seamless transition between your natural regrowth and your coloured hair—keeping the overall look dimensional, refined, and low-maintenance. With the right aftercare, your blend stays bright, glossy, and true-to-tone as it grows out.

Service Duration

2.5–5+ hours (depending on length, density, and technique)

Recommended Maintenance Schedule

  • Gloss / Toner Refresh: every 6–8 weeks
  • Grey Blend Refresh: every 12–18 weeks
  • Haircut / Shape Refresh: every 6–10 weeks

Home Care Essentials

  • Colour-Safe Shampoo + Conditioner: Use salon-grade, colour-protecting formulas and limit shampoo days to maintain tone and shine.
  • Water Temperature: Wash with cool to lukewarm water to reduce fading and keep the blend looking clean.
  • Targeted Toning Shampoo (only if needed): Purple/blue shampoo can help control warmth—use sparingly to avoid dryness or a flat finish.
  • Weekly Mask: A weekly moisture mask supports softness, elasticity, and a polished feel through the ends.
  • Heat Protectant: Always use heat protection before blow-drying or styling to prevent dullness and tone shift.
  • Bond Builder (if lightened): If your grey blend includes lightening, incorporate a bond-building treatment to maintain strength and reduce breakage.

Good to Know

  • Hard water can dull your tone: Mineral build-up can cause dryness and brassiness—consider a shower filter if your water runs hard.
  • Sun + chlorine can shift colour: UV and pool water can pull warmth and reduce shine—use UV protection and rinse before/after swimming.
  • Gloss keeps it luxe: A regular gloss is the quickest way to keep your grey blend looking expensive and intentional.

Vivid and Pastel Colours Aftercare

Benefits

Your vivid service starts with customised blonding, designed to create the perfect base for bright, long-lasting colour. Once your foundation is lifted, we apply a vivid overlay tailored to your desired tone and intensity.
It’s a time-intensive appointment—so settle in and enjoy snacks and refreshments while we work.

Service Duration

3–6+ hours

Recommended Maintenance Schedule

  • Vivid Overlay Refresh: every 6–8 weeks
  • Blonding Touch-Up + Overlay: every 12–16 weeks

Home Care Essentials

  • Bond Builders: Treatments like K18 and Olaplex help rebuild strength, restore shine, and keep the hair feeling healthy after lightening.
  • Colour Bomb: Refresh your tone and boost vibrancy between appointments. Ask us to make a custom colour bomb matched to your shade.
  • Water Temperature: Wash with cool to lukewarm water to slow fading.
  • Vivid-Safe Shampoo: Use a colour-protecting shampoo like  or Kérastase Chroma Absolu, and reduce how often you shampoo each week.

Good to Know

  • Shower filter: A shower head filter can help reduce dulling, brassiness, and dryness, especially if your water is hard.
  • Heat styling: High heat can yellow or darken lightened hair and can fade vivids faster. Use a quality heat protectant (like Kérastase Thermique) and turn your tools down.

Dimensional Brunettes and Reds Aftercare

Benefits

Professional colour is designed to deliver shine, dimension, and tone accuracy—whether you’re going richer, brighter, or more lived-in. The right aftercare helps your colour stay glossy, vibrant, and true-to-tone, while keeping the hair feeling healthy between appointments.

Service Duration

1.5–4+ hours (depending on service: gloss, root touch-up, refresh, or full colour)

Recommended Maintenance Schedule

  • Gloss / Toner Refresh: every 6–8 weeks
  • Root Touch-Up: every 4–8 weeks (depending on contrast and growth)
  • Full Colour Refresh: every 10–16 weeks
  • Haircut / Shape Refresh: every 6–10 weeks

Home Care Essentials

  • Colour-Safe Shampoo + Conditioner: Use salon-grade, colour-protecting formulas and limit shampoo dayswhere possible.
  • Water Temperature: Wash with cool to lukewarm water to reduce fading and keep shine high.
  • Heat Protectant: Always use heat protection before blow-drying or styling to prevent dullness and colour fade.
  • Weekly Mask: Add a nourishing mask weekly to maintain softness, elasticity, and shine.
  • Bond Builder (especially for lightened hair): Incorporate a bond-building treatment to support strength and reduce breakage.

Good to Know

  • Sun + chlorine fade colour fast: UV and pool water can strip tone and leave hair feeling dry—use UV protection and rinse hair before/after swimming.
  • Clarifying shampoos can lift colour: Avoid frequent clarifying or anti-dandruff shampoos unless recommended, as they can pull colour and toner.
  • Hard water can dull tone: If your water runs hard, a shower filter can help reduce brassiness and dryness over time.

Perm Aftercare

Benefits

A perm is designed to create lasting shape, movement, and texture—from soft waves to defined curls—tailored to your haircut, hair type, and styling routine. With the right aftercare, your curl pattern stays bouncy, glossy, and consistent for longer.

Service Duration

2–5+ hours (depending on length, density, and technique)

Recommended Maintenance Schedule

  • Cut / Shape Refresh: every 6–10 weeks
  • Perm Refresh (re-perm): every 4–8 months (varies by hair growth and desired curl strength)
  • Toner / Gloss (optional): every 6–10 weeks if you colour your hair

Home Care Essentials

  • First 48 Hours: Keep hair dry and untouched—no washing, swimming, tight ponytails, clips, or tucking behind ears to protect the new shape.
  • Moisture + Curl Support: Use a hydrating conditioner and a curl cream or mousse to keep curls soft, defined, and frizz-free
  • Bond Builder: Add a bond-building treatment to your routine to support strength and resilience (especially if you colour or lighten).
  • Low-Heat Styling: Air-dry where possible, or diffuse on low heat/low airflow to maintain curl integrity.
  • Curl-Friendly Shampoo: Choose a gentle, curl-safe shampoo and limit shampoo days to avoid dryness.
  • Detangling: Detangle only when wet, with conditioner, using fingers or a wide-tooth comb—avoid brushing dry curls.

Good to Know

  • Avoid heat tools: Skip straightening irons entirely. Heated wands and hot tools can quickly relax your curl pattern and leave permed hair feeling dry—if you must use heat, keep it minimal and low.
  • Sun exposure: Excessive sun can make permed hair feel brittle and dehydrated—use UV protection and wear a hat when you’re in strong sun for long periods.
  • Sleep protection: A silk pillowcase or loose “pineapple” tie-up helps reduce frizz and keeps curls looking fresh.

Invisible Weft Extensions Aftercare

Benefits

Invisible weft extensions are designed to add seamless length, density, and polish with a soft, natural finish. With the right aftercare, your extensions stay silky, glossy, and comfortable, and your natural hair remains strong and healthy underneath.

Service Duration

2–4+ hours (depending on amount of hair and whether colour/blending is included)

Recommended Maintenance Schedule

  • Move-Up / Refit: every 6–8 weeks (essential for comfort and hair health)
  • Gloss / Tone Refresh (optional): every 6–12 weeks to keep colour seamless
  • Extension Replacement: typically every 9-18 months (depends on hair quality + home care)

Home Care Essentials

  • Brushing: Brush morning + night and before washing. Use an extension-safe brush, start at the ends, and work up. Hold the root area to avoid tension on the weft.
  • Washing: Shampoo the scalp gently and let the lather run through the lengths—avoid aggressive scrubbing on the weft area. Always condition mid-lengths to ends.
  • Drying: Never go to bed with wet hair. Dry the roots and weft area thoroughly to prevent tangling and stress on your natural hair.
  • Serums + Leave-In Treatments: Apply a lightweight leave-in and/or serum through mid-lengths and ends for softness, shine, and slip (avoid the weft/attachment points).
  • Heat Protectant: Always use heat protection before blow-drying or styling. Keep hot tools at a moderate temperature.

Good to Know

  • Avoid pool water: Chlorine can dry out extensions fast, shift colour, and increase tangling—avoid swimming in pools where possible.
  • Avoid keratin-based products: Keratin-heavy shampoos, conditioners, and treatments can contribute to build-up and may affect the integrity/feel of extensions over time—stick to extension-safe formulas we recommend.
  • Avoid oils at the attachments: Heavy oils, masks, or conditioners placed near the weft can cause slippage and build-up—keep rich products away from the roots
  • Sleep protection: A loose braid or low ponytail plus a silk pillowcase helps prevent matting and keeps the finish smooth.
  • Tension = damage: If you feel pulling, tightness, or persistent itching, book in—extensions should feel secure, not uncomfortable.

Genius Tape Extensions Aftercare

Benefits

Genius tape extensions are designed for a flat, seamless finish with comfortable wear and natural movement. With the right aftercare, they stay smooth, glossy, and secure, while protecting the health of your natural hair.

Home Care Essentials

  • Brushing: Brush morning + night and before washing. Use an extension-safe brush, start at the ends, and work up. Support the root area with your hand to avoid tension on the tapes.
  • Washing: Cleanse the scalp gently and avoid rough scrubbing over the tape area. Let shampoo rinse through the lengths, then condition mid-lengths to ends.
  • Drying: Never sleep with wet hair. Dry the tape area thoroughly to prevent tangling and to keep the bonds comfortable and secure.
  • Serums + Leave-In Treatments: Use a lightweight leave-in and/or serum through mid-lengths and ends for shine and slip—keep products away from the tape bonds
  • Heat Protectant: Always use heat protection before blow-drying or styling, and keep hot tools at a moderate temperature.
  • First 48 Hours: Avoid washing, heavy sweating, saunas/steam rooms, and oily products near the tapes to allow everything to fully settle.

Good to Know

  • Avoid pool water: Chlorine can dry out extension hair, shift colour, and increase tangling—avoid swimming in pools where possible.
  • Avoid keratin-based products: Keratin-heavy products can cause build-up and may affect how tapes wear over time—stick to extension-safe formulas we recommend.
  • Avoid oils at the bonds: Oils and heavy masks near the tapes can lead to slippage—keep rich products mid-lengths to ends only
  • Sleep protection: A loose braid or low ponytail plus a silk pillowcase helps prevent matting and keeps the finish smooth.
  • If anything feels off: If you notice lifting, pulling, or discomfort, book in promptly—extensions should feel secure, never tight.

Keratin Smoothing Aftercare

1.5-2.5 hours (depending on length, density, and texture)

Recommended Maintenance Schedule

  • Keratin Smoothing Refresh: every 3–5 months (depending on hair type and desired smoothness)
  • Haircut / Shape Refresh: every 6–10 weeks
  • Gloss / Tone Refresh (optional): every 6–10 weeks if you colour your hair

Home Care Essentials

  • Smoothing-Safe Shampoo + Conditioner: Use sulphate-free, sodium chloride-free formulas to protect longevity and reduce frizz return.
  • Weekly Mask: Add a weekly moisture mask to maintain softness, elasticity, and shine.
  • Heat Protectant: Always protect before blow-drying or styling. Use moderate heat for a polished finish without stressing the hair.
  • Serums + Leave-In Treatments: Use a lightweight serum or leave-in through mid-lengths and ends for shine, slip, and frizz control.

Good to Know

  • Colour timing: You can colour your hair on the same day as your smoothing service, or before. If you’re colouring after your keratin treatment, please wait 2 weeks
  • Pool + ocean water can shorten results: Chlorine and salt can dry the hair and reduce longevity—avoid where possible, or rinse immediately and apply conditioner after.
  • Hard water can dull the finish: Mineral build-up can make hair feel rough—consider a shower filter if your water runs hard.
